Tapestry #110

Christie's East, New York from the Estate of Arndt Krupp Von Bohlen Und Halbach.

Notes:

This late 17th century Franco-Flemish verdure tapestry, signed RAET, worked in fresh colors, depicting animals in a wooded river landscape with a bird of prey attacking a rabbit in the foreground, within borders with classical figures holding baskets of fruits with architectural niches, fruited garlands, and woodland scenes.

This is a Museum Quality piece. It is an excellent example of a late 17th century Franco-Flemish Verdure Tapestry. It exhibits incredible period details, contains its original border and is in excellent condition.

Very good vintage condition, any existing wear consistent with age and use. The photos were taken inside with studio lighting. The colors of our carpets and tapestries may look slightly different depending on the lighting in your home or the device you are using.
